DRUNKARD' 8 PANACEA. "Uncle Miles" Gives a Full Account of His Recent Sojourn at the Eeeley Institute He Returns to Bock Hill a Cured Man and Feels That he Is Free From the Influence of the Insidious Des troyer. Gbbbrsbobo, N. C, March 1892. Editor of the Bock Hill Herald: It behoove me for the sake of all who have become slave to the whiskey habit, the ourse of all curses, to ap peal to your columns tore short space that I may point them the way of es cape from the doom which surely awaits the dram drinker. Three weeks ago I entered the Keeley Institute at this plaoe, after having gone through weeks of drunkenness, with will power all gone, with soarcely a thought save whiskey. Today I stand forth proudly to pro claim the virtues of the remedies here used and to urge upou the unfortunates to avail themselves of the relief here afforded. My habits are well known to you and my friends' This day iinds me a new man, a sober man, a hapyy man. After the first three or four days of my stay here all thought of or desire for whiskey is gena. I had my bottle filled and have carried it in my pocket without the slightest thought of it a thing I could not have dot e heretofore for ten minutes to save my life. The change is a miracle to me. I shall ever feel grateful to Rev. W. M. Anderson and other friends who pointed me to the Keeley Institute. It gives me great pleasure to commend this institution to ail drinkers of every class, for there is a cure hero. I con sider Dr. Keeley 's discovery a godsend to the country, and too much praise oannot be accorded to the Doctor, who has brought so muoh happiness to so many homes, saved so many lives from drunkard's graves, and thrown so much cheer around broken hearts. With these thousands I join in the plaudit, "Well done, oease.not your noble work," to our pbysioian. Dr. Palmer, and business manager, Judge Eller. They win by their kindness and sympathy and attention to all who have oome here.
